About Dr. Mirazita
James A. Mirazita, MD, is a board certified anesthesiologist and pain management specialist at Oasis Recovery. At the practice’s three locations in Nashua, Bedford, and Concord, New Hampshire, he offers addiction treatment and recovery programs to help those with addiction overcome their dependencies.
Dr. Mirazita is a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus. He completed his internship in general surgery at David Grant USAF Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California. After finishing his residency in anesthesiology, with a concentration in pain management at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, Dr. Mirazita completed a fellowship in pain management at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, affiliated with Harvard Medical School, in Boston, Massachusetts. He received additional training in medical acupuncture from the Harvard Medical School.
After completing his residency, Dr. Mirazita assumed duties as a staff anesthesiologist at the 1st Fighter Wing at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. During his tenure at Langley, Dr. Mirazita served as the Medical Director of Anesthesia Services and founded Langley’s first pain management clinic.
Dr. Mirazita joined Pain SolutionsSM in 2002 and, together with Dr. Praveen Suchdev, has been instrumental in the clinical development of the practice. In addition to his daily clinical role, he serves as Chief Medical Officer of Pain SolutionsSM and has primary responsibility for the quality assurance programs that have been initiated.
In 2016, Dr. Mirazita, together with Dr. Suchdev, formed Oasis Recovery to address the growing need within the local community for the treatment of addiction and substance abuse. Dr. Mirazita has successfully completed the buprenorphine course for office-based treatment of opioid use disorders through the American Society of Addiction Medicine and is federally licensed to prescribe Suboxone® for his patients.
Dr. Mirazita is board certified in both anesthesiology and pain management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is a fellow of the World Institute of Pain. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the International Association for the Study of Pain, and numerous other professional organizations.
